From September 2020, it will be compulsory for primary schools to provide PSHE education that covers health and relationships. To support schools in meeting these curriculum changes, we’ve developed a new Health and Relationships programme, suitable for children in years 1-6. Discovery Education Health and Relationships is a new digital PSHE programme providing schools with everything they need to deliver high-quality relationships and health education aligned to the new 2020 statutory curriculum. Our user-friendly video resources for years 1-6 use real-life, child-led scenarios to engage children, making teaching PSHE easy, fun and relevant. Written by subject-expert teachers, this engaging new resource includes a wealth of activity types, age-appropriate resources and comprehensive support that will enable all teachers to confidently deliver on the new curriculum requirements.

The programme covers six topics:

  • Healthy and happy friendships
  • Similarities and differences
  • Caring and responsibility
  • Families and committed relationships
  • Healthy body, healthy mind
  • Coping with change
