The creators of the UK’s leading secondary learning platform, Frog (www.frogtrade.com), has developed a new platform designed for primary schools in conjunction with early years and primary school teachers. Frog Primary will be on stand D80 at the Education Show to demonstrate how learning platforms can increase engagement, improve communication and save time and money for primary schools.

Frog has built huge success with its secondary learning platform and is now quickly building on this success with primary schools.

Gareth Davies, Managing Director at Frog says: “Frog Primary builds on the natural curiosity of school children, helping them to learn and achieve through collaboration.

“Pupils can choose from a selection of themes to make their primary platform their own. This allows teachers to create their own learning content and embed resources that truly engage children. We’re finding that because Frog Primary is so simple, it actually gets used in primary schools.”

Blackheath Primary School in the West Midlands has been using Frog Primary for 6 months. Phil Timmins, ICT Coordinator at the school explains how they are engaging their pupils and involving parents: “I was teaching a group of Year 6 children aiming to motivate them using a haunted house picture and sounds that you might associate with spooky houses. I was really impressed with the efforts from the children and wanted to share it with others – so I recorded each of them reading out their work and uploaded it to Frog.

“It was so simple to use and not only motivated the pupils by showcasing their work to the rest of the school, having it on Frog allowed them to share their work with their parents. Learning platforms have many benefits for a school, but for me the ability to share with parents instantly is an amazing way of getting them involved in their children’s work.”

The difference with Frog Primary compared to other primary learning platforms is the additional coaching and implementation services it provides to schools. In the same way as they do for secondary schools, Frog’s dedicated school improvement team provides support and implementation advice to its customers. The team ensures Frog Primary is fully integrated into the school – making it a success for the school and allowing them to actually achieve real value for money on their investment.

Frog Primary will be at the Education Show on stand D80 between 15 and 17 March 2012.
