Announced in Melbourne, Victoria, from January 2020, over 1500 primary, secondary and specialist Government schools will have access to EdTech video platform ClickView, with thousands of high quality videos, interactive tools and teaching resources, as part of the Victorian Department of Education and Training’s mission to make learning more engaging for students in an increasingly connected world.

Minister for Education James Merlino explains the move. “This is about giving all of our government schools access to the latest digital content … to make learning more interactive and engaging for students.”

Today, ClickView can be found in over 3,800 schools, FE institutes and universities around the world. ClickView engages students and empowers teachers with the world’s best educational video content.

This follows ClickView’s recent shortlisting for the BETT Secondary Content Award, with the winner to be announced January 2020.

ClickView produces videos and resources explicitly mapped to the curriculum followed by schools and colleges. As well as whole school, curriculum-based content, they also offer content in other important areas, such as wellbeing, social media and work readiness. They have a panel of experts from schools, FE institutes and universities throughout the world who act as consultants during the production process of every teaching and learning video that they make.

“We produce content for teachers and students, with an emphasis on providing students with a deeper understanding,” said Edward Filetti, ClickView’s CEO. “Students are increasingly accustomed to using video as the medium as a means to learn and discover. ClickView provides a solution that delivers relevant, contextual video content to students, with tools to ensure that the learning experience is active, not passive, and always engaging.”

This multi-year project enables teachers to plan world class lessons with long term reassurance, whilst ensuring all Victorian government school students have access to consistent, high quality resources, regardless of their age or location.

ClickView is the video platform of choice for over 3,800 schools, FE institutes and universities and are one of the largest producers of educational video content in the world. Through simple, intuitive and powerful software, ClickView enables educators to discover and share videos and resources that meet curriculum outcomes, in a safe and secure environment.
