Katy Potts, computing and e-safety lead for children’s services at Islington Council “The best judges of what motivates children and inspires them to learn, are children. This year there were several schools at Bett, who brought a number of their pupils to the show to provide an additional view of what they considered good learning resources. It has been fascinating hearing their thoughts and views on each exhibitor and their products; the exhibitors should be proud of the acclaim and the children took the role very seriously.”

Caroline Wright, director general designate of BESA added: “Tens of thousands of educators visit Bett each year to see what the UK can offer the world in educational ICT, it is increasingly apparent that schools also value the opinion of their students. Reviewing the products, their price and purpose was also a wonderful learning experience for these students.”

Debbie French, exhibition director at i2i Events Group said, “It is important for education resource suppliers to consider the style and design of products that engage students; their feedback and opinions should be invaluable. It is therefore highly appropriate to add this category to the Bett Awards.”
