B Squared is proud to announce that we will showcase our portfolio of assessment and evidence capture software at EduTECH Asia, on 9-10 November, 2016. We have over 20 years’ experience within the assessment sector and are already used by over 3,000 schools across the UK, mainland Europe, Dubai, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Delegates can come and meet our experts on stand G15.
Our Connecting Steps assessment framework offers schools unsurpassed ability to track pupil progress and is capable of detecting even the smallest of improvements. The latest version of our software, Connecting Steps V4, tracks progress across: EYFS, P Levels and Primary education with the UK, which corresponds with Preschool, Playgroup, Kindergarten and Primary 1-6 within the Singapore education system. Our education team, themselves all experienced teaching staff, constantly update our curriculums and are currently developing progress tracking across Secondary education. We have also recently launched a new autism profiling tool, Autism Progress, into our Connecting Steps framework. Developed in collaboration with three leading autism charities – Autism Wessex, Scottish Autism and the North East Autism Society – Autism Progress assesses the true impact of autism on each individual, profiling strengths and weaknesses across four key areas of development and guiding the development of targeted support strategies.
Ease of access and security are key features within our software. Connecting Steps can be accessed via a web browser and an iPad app, meaning results can be recorded anywhere, anytime. We also host data on our secure cloud service. This feature is incredibly popular with schools and we are already trusted with data for over 87,000 pupils and on average 32,000 assessment points are added into our Connecting Steps software every day.
On our stand, we will also present Evisense, a revolutionary web-based application that stores and showcases events throughout a child’s time in education. Designed to provide teachers with a simple and straightforward way to capture evidence, Evisense will provide schools with a vital bank of evidence that can be used to moderate work. Recording progress is easy – teaching staff can capture key events via videos, photos, documents and audio files. These events can then be annotated and linked to curriculum areas and assessment points within Connecting Steps.
Accessible via multiple platforms – Android, iOS, Amazon Fire apps and web browser – Evisense has also been designed as a communication tool. Teaching staff can easily and quickly share recorded evidence with parents, giving them a clear insight into their child’s progress, helping to increase parental involvement in their children’s education. Security and safeguarding are also key features for any software implemented, and we have ensured Evisense offers unsurpassed safety features, including encryption of all media files and immediate removal from mobile devices on successful upload.
“We are excited to be attending EduTECH Asia and look forward to showing delegates how we can help schools record and track progress, and how we continually improve and expand our product portfolio to meet the ever-changing needs of the education sector” stated Dale Pickles, Director of B Squared. “In particular, we are incredibly proud to be adding Evisense to our portfolio. We hope it will not only transform the way schools record and share evidence, but will also revolutionise how they communicate with parents. Evisense brings it all together in one package.”
