Salary

Contract: Permanent; full-time at 37 hours (5 days) per week, 52 weeks. (We will consider applications for part-time working, but the role is advertised on a full-time basis based on operational considerations)

 

Location: Hybrid working – consisting of remote working, flexibility required to travel to client settings as required, and up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire as required.

In this role you will lead the Systems Team to provide expert support and guidance on a range of finance software systems used by client schools in compliance with statutory requirements. The team deliver training to schools, academies and our own teams, and provide a helpline used by schools to answer finance and software queries. In addition you will lead projects on selected systems developments, including the development and implementation of a framework of procured third-party finance systems.

We are seeking an individual with accounting and budgeting systems experience, who may be part AAT/ CCAB/ CGMA qualified, and has the skills to build, implement, train and support systems that our clients can trust. As you will be leading a team line management experience will be required.

 

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of working on-site across various schools and settings, remote working and, if desired, up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
