We are currently recruiting for an Editorial Assistant to join our science team working on our digital educational resources for UK and US schools. Successful applicants will be organised, enthusiastic and creative with a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of what makes an educational resource work. This is an ideal first job in publishing with excellent career development potential.
Within this role you can expect to gain substantial experience in the development of curriculum resources for our ground-breaking online platform Doddle www.doddlelearn.co.uk. As an editorial assistant, you will be responsible for writing high-quality content for both teaching and assessment resources for science subjects. The role may also involve copy-editing, proofreading, testing content, working with in-house designers and developers, and helping to develop future functionality for the site.
What are we looking for?
- Strong A-levels and a good degree in chemistry are essential
- Some tutoring, teaching or publishing experience would also be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills, creativity and attention to detail
