We are looking for an individual to work with our academies finance team, focussing on the growth and delivery of our existing and new consultancy work to academy trusts. The post holder will be responsible for engaging with prospective customers, understanding their needs and preparing initial quotes for work, as well as then identifying resource to fulfil the role.
The Trust Operations and Finance team works with academy trusts, to provide a range of services including CFO support, outsourced finance functions, internal audits, HR business partnering and governance consultancy. This role will work with the academies finance team within our department, supporting the delivery of our financial consultancy services to trusts, including providing Finance Manager cover and CFO support when required to do so.
The team you will be working with comprises qualified accountants whose focus is the delivery of technical consultancy to academy trusts. The purpose of the role is to support the team in delivery of their work, to ensure a high quality and consistent service, as well as to engage with the wider Trust Operations and Finance team in the development and delivery of collaborative projects to school including HR, governance and wider business management.
We are looking for an individual who can bring strong business acumen and client account management experience to the organisation, to support the growth of our consultancy business. Experience of having worked in the education sector is desirable but not essential and full training will be provided.

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of working on-site across various schools and settings, remote working and, if desired, up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
