The Teacher Development Trust has an outstanding reputation for promoting professional learning to help children succeed and teachers thrive. They are the national charity for effective professional development in schools and colleges and are supported by the Department for Education, Education Endowment Foundation, Times Education Supplement Global and Durham University.
In working with schools, colleges and trusts they are able to assess current CPD provision to then devise improvement strategies, often focussing on staff collaboration, enquiry and coaching. Data is gathered via interviews and surveys which enables strengths and areas for development to be identified. The audit tool will enable collective data to be analysed and filtering will enable data to be broken down into key stages, subjects and geographical areas. Trend analysis will be enhanced and this will help to fuel powerful research for the education sector.
There is a strong synergy between Derventio Education and the Teacher Development Trust. Both organisations have expertise in staff development and recognise the need to embed effective professional development. The partnership has been warmly received by both organisations.
We are delighted to be working with such an influential voice in education. In developing a bespoke software solution for the Teacher Development Trust, we are proud to be furthering their excellent work to promote the principles of effective CPD.
Stuart Reece – Managing Director – Derventio Education
Our partnership is exciting. This more sophisticated audit tool will offer greater insights, be more user-friendly and support the practical application of the work that we do with schools. Since TDT’s foundation, we have collated a wealth of data about CPD from hundreds of schools. We look forward to being able to analyse this information in greater depth in order to enhance our research and help shape our school programmes.
