Daydream Education celebrates its 20th birthday

From our modest beginnings, producing a range of just five maths posters (and operating out of my garage!), Daydream Education is now recognised as the UK’s leading provider of educational posters, with a diverse range of over 1,000 educational products!

Over the last 20 years, our dedication to innovation and improving educational provision for all has earned us a reputation for high-quality, affordable educational resources that engage and enthuse users. This is something that we are determined to continue long into the future.

Over the years, we have certainly evolved and this has happened hand-in-hand with two key supporters; teachers and BESA.

Our ongoing relationship with the teaching community has enabled us to develop appropriate resources and ensure they evolve in line with our end users’ specific needs. These needs change so frequently, depending on new policy announcements, that it has been a pleasure to fully immerse ourselves in the teaching community to build this in-depth appreciation. For example, we will soon be releasing our new Key Stage 2 and GCSE maths and English revision guides, which have been informed by our close relationship with the teaching community. Feedback from our teachers will ensure all our products are revised on an on-going basis.

And of course BESA has also been a great asset to our business development.

Every week we have been kept up to date with new business opportunities and regular invitations to various members’ events. At these events, we get the opportunity to share experiences and soak up information and advice from others. BESA’s free training seminars have proved to be very useful, however, possibly of most value to us has been BESA’s support in getting us to international events. A significant part of our business is now generated from schools in America. Setting up your business to sell overseas is not only important but it’s also complex. BESA’s international team have years of experience working with UK Trade and Investment, governments, distributors and schools across the world. The value of BESA’s advice on international trade should never be underestimated.

During these past 20 years we have seen many changes in the education sector; governments, policies and budgets. What is important for all suppliers is to work together to share advice and help each other; BESA makes this possible.

Our dedication to educational innovation and improving education for all has enabled us to become a leader in the global learning resources market. I would like to thank our employees, teachers and BESA who have all helped Daydream Education achieve this. The future is bright, and I look forward to being a part of the continued evolution of learning and helping to ensure education provision for everyone.
