Firstly, the BESA flagship event of the year on Tuesday 1st November: The Annual Business Insight Day, AGM and House of Lords reception
With an outstanding programme which includes Sir David Carter talking about the rise of multi academy trusts and a panel debate on what’s next for the economy post-Brexit, as well as a debate on British education going global, there is bound to be something for all members at this year’s event.
After the business session during the day attendees retire to the House of Lords for a networking reception. Again, this is a very popular event and will fill quickly. To avoid disappointment, please book here.
However, before the AGM takes place, there are two great events in October that some of you may be interested in:
On the evening of Wednesday 19th October at Westminster Hall in the Houses of Parliament, we have theEfficacy in EdTech Debate: What’s the Evidence?
Running from 18.00-20.00hrs, this free event is open to BESA Launchpad subscribers and Software and Technology Special Interest Group (SATSIG) members. The panel will be discussing how the efficacy of using EdTech in education is being measured: is there evidence that technology is helping to drive up educational outcomes?

Secondly, the following day Thursday 20th October sees the return of BESA’s annual free Launchpad Conference, to be held at the Westminster Conference Centre, 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET.
Open to all Launchpad subscribers and non-member SMEs, this conference is a must-attend event for start-ups and new entrants into the education supplies market.
A fascinating programme includes sessions on business support and export advice, the evolution of ICT in schools and legal essentials for start-ups. Companies who were once start-ups will also share their experience by running sessions on taking your company to scale, as well as identifying what investors are looking for in an EdTech company.
This event will be heavily subscribed so early booking is recommended.
