Making technology work in the classroom – Cost effective CPD for teachers from Steljes Training
Leading technology distributor Steljes announces the launch of the ‘Steljes Training Online Portal,’ to help schools to optimise their IT investment by improving their teaching techniques.
Developed to provide busy teachers with quick and cost effective continuing professional development (CPD) sessions on technology led skills, the portal currently hosts more than 100 tutorial videos.
The online training includes a wide range of exciting courses from ‘Using podcasts in the classroom’ through to ‘SMART Notebook software’ and ‘Getting to grips with social media in the classroom’.
Courses on the Steljes Training Online Portal span the effective use of a range of technologies from leading manufacturers including Apple, Elmo and SMART Technologies. Focusing not only the functionality of technology but more specifically on how to embed technology more effectively in to teaching and learning, the Steljes Training Online Portal is a tool to help school maximise return on their existing investment.
Each session is designed to enable teachers to undertake online professional development at their own pace and chosen time; the courses can be started and paused at any stage. Teachers can assess their progress at the end of each to provide useful feedback on any further training needs.

The Steljes Training Online Portal is priced at £495 per year for up to 10 user licences (£49.50 per year for each teacher), or £795 per year for up to 20 licences (£39.75 per year per teacher). Contracts are valid for three years.
