13 February 2014
From an unprecedented number of entries, the United Kingdom’s (UK) most outstanding educational resources, suppliers, educators and institutions were today selected as finalists for the Education Resources Awards (ERAs) 2014.
From the high number of entries received, 57 products from 39 organisations were shortlisted in the product categories with an additional 22 organisations shortlisted in the marketing campaign, supplier of the year and exporter of the year categories. The winners of the Educational Establishment, Leadership in Education and Outstanding Achievement awards will be announced on the night of the awards, Friday 21 March, at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.
Organised by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and Brilliant Marketing Solutions Ltd., the ERAs continue to highlight the quality and diversity of educational products and resources, excellent educational establishments and the most inspiring members of the teaching profession, all working together to encourage the very best in education.
BESA, the sector’s trade association whose members operate to an agreed high level code of practice was also celebrating with 60 per cent of the shortlisted organisations being BESA members.
Caroline Wright, director of BESA, comments: “Each year we refresh our panel of judges who consist of experienced education stakeholders, sector journalists and teachers to ensure we continue to identify the latest and very best products, suppliers, teachers and schools. From my position of overseeing the judging process, it is clear that once again this year the judges have meticulously tested and assessed the very best in education. The winners in the product categories, who will be announced on 21 March, can be seen as exemplary companies with practical products that are fit for purpose and provide real value for money.”
