Hours: Part time working at 22.2 hours (3 days), or 29.6 hours (4 days) per week, Term Time plus 2 weeks (40 weeks).
Salary: Band 6: FTE £44,000 – £47,000 p.a plus excellent benefits
Pro-rated salary for 3 days, 40 weeks: *£23,492 – £25,095 p.a
Pro-rated salary for 4 days, 40 weeks: *£31,324 – £33,459 p.a
(*inclusive of 6.4 weeks paid holiday entitlement)
Location: Hybrid working consisting of remote working, flexibility required to travel to client settings as required, and up to 2 days per week in our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire as required.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified accountant to join our Academy Finance Team, working with senior clients in academy trusts, to provide internal scrutiny services. The role will also include the development of new internal audits for academy trusts, working with the wider business services teams.
You are a highly successful, finance professional with audit experience; you have proven abilities to work unsupervised and to support the development of internal audit and assurance services. You will be comfortable working with a varied range of clients, understanding their needs and experience to add value through the delivery of internal scrutiny services. You manage your time and outputs well to deliver against deadlines, and with genuine credibility built through the experience of your current role.

Our ‘working from anywhere’ approach provides colleagues the opportunity to work flexibly in line with their role requirements. This consists of working on-site across various schools and settings, remote working and occasional visits to our Head Office in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The ability to reach different locations by car will be essential for this role. If you drive, then a full driving licence and appropriate car insurance will be required. As there is a permanent home working element to this role, you will need to ensure you are equipped for home working.
