Supreme Systems have created a list of websites that they refer to when looking for information on cyber security. They wanted to share the list with you as we think you may find it useful.
And, you can even add some of these to your resource list for staff training.
1. NCSC Education Page
The government’s National Cyber Security Centre website is one of my favourite places for all the latest information on cyber security. This page is dedicated to schools, and contains useful information and guidance.
2. Cybersecurity Training for Staff
This is another useful section on the NCSC’s website. Here you will find a free training program to raise awareness and help you manage some of the key cyber threats facing schools.
3. Cyber Security Breaches Survey
The latest cyber security survey from the UK government on the prevalence of cyber attacks on the UK’s education sector.
4. Cybersecure.school
This is our website, but I have included it in the list because our cyber security team has worked very hard to put together a really useful resource section for schools – even if I do say so myself!
5. School’s Week
Great for school news in general, this website also provides the latest cyber security information affecting schools. These articles, for example, talk about the government’s Cyber-crime protection scheme and the government’s plan for a cyber security scorecard for schools.
6. Independent Education Today
This website is targeted at Independent Schools, however, it does provide general information on cyber security that is relevant to all schools.
7. The Education Network
The Education Network is a government body that provides advice and support for schools on online safety.
8. Cyber Security Oxford
A great website by Oxford University full of useful cyber security resources to share with your staff, including videos, whitepapers, podcasts, infographics, and much more.
9. Computer Weekly, IT Security
A slightly technical website, but full of cyber security resources, that might be great to share with your IT administrator.
10. The National Cyber Security Alliance
This is an American website, but I like the resource library. Several videos on the website have been provided by our partner KnowBe4, who provide the content for our cyber security training.
