Global stationery heavyweight Maped Helix has been shortlisted for prestigious awards for two of its innovative creations.
The company’s hugely popular Jungle Innovation and Kidy’Board are both in the running for accolades at the 2015 Education Resource Awards.
Both have been shortlisted in the Primary Non-ICT awards category, which will be announced on March 20 as part of the Education Show 2015.
World-famous Maped Helix will be showcasing its enviable range of innovative educational stationery products on Stand D49-C50 during the three-day show, which will be staged at Birmingham NEC from March 19-21.
Maped’s Kidy’Board – the first transparent writing board created as an educational tool – has been shortlisted for an award after proving a huge hit with youngsters, parents and teachers alike. Its flexible design means that it is unbreakable and the exclusive manufacturing process used to make it means that all scribbles can be wiped away without a trace time and time again.
Created in collaboration with teachers, the unique Kidy’Board is made with the educational needs of children in mind and comes with downloadable activity sheets that are secured behind the transparent screen to aid writing and drawing.
Maped’s Jungle Innovation is no stranger to the awards scene having already bagged two top accolades at the 2014 National Stationery Awards. The innovative felt tip pens won the children’s stationery category as well as a special innovation award.
With a patented design that sees the felt tip lids integrated into the soft base, no caps will ever be lost again! Its clever design means it is compact enough to fit into a pencil case before blossoming out into a colourful palm tree of refillable Color’Peps felt tips.
The stationery giant will also be showcasing its latest educational product at the Education Show – its unique Bunny Innovation. The bunny’s teeth nibble away on pencils and leave them perfectly sharpened! Available in a range of bright colours, Bunny Innovation is already proving a huge hit by teaching youngsters how to sharpen pencils correctly by turning them clockwise with the reward of the bunny’s teeth moving up and down eating away the pencil.
Adrian Ellis, general manager at Maped Helix, said: “We are incredibly proud of our ever-expanding range of educational products that really inject fun into learning and we look forward to showcasing these products to thousands more teachers and education professional’s at this year’s Education Show.
“It is wonderful news that our immensely popular Jungle Innovation and Kidy’Board have been shortlisted for awards. Both products have been a huge success because of their unique designs that children absolutely love. Maped Helix is dedicated to creating top quality products that inspire youngsters and we are delighted that Jungle Innovation and Kidy’Board are being recognised in this way.”
