Charanga’s technology is not one thing: the technical development team have produced a collection cloud-based, multi-platform software applications which provide state-of-the-art tools for music teaching and learning with new ones being developed all the time. It has pioneered an online subscription management and partnering platform which allows us to work tightly with local partners whereever they may be.
Charanga also has a team of renowned music educators with a deep insight into the everyday needs of music teachers and learners. To assist the content team Charanga has built dynamic partnerships with music publishers, rights collection agencies and distinguished arts organisations which ensure the team can draw on authentic musical materials. Today, Charanga has a loyal and growing user base of over 30,000 music teachers operating in over 9,000 schools in more than 50 countries – presenting Charanga classes to over 1 million students per week.
Charanga was founded by Royal College of Music graduate Mark Burke, and computer scientist Paul Fletcher and they continue to lead the company today.
